Club, discoid slate head, plain, secured on either side by woven cane bands on a hard red wood shaft tapering to a point, undecorated. Below the head there is attached a plaited cord, possibly of human hair. On the blade there is a label which reads, 'Stone Club, Maiva British New Guinea'.
