Small tabua with a rough plaited double cord attached with string at each end.
Tabua, are made from modified teeth, and were important ceremonial objects within traditional Fijian economic interactions. They were used in economic interactions with the people of Tonga where this tooth originated.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
