Jar of bulbous form with short neck, wide flared mouth rim, and slightly recessed base.The clay body is a fine, brown stoneware. The jar is covered with brown glaze, which is underfired. One side of the exterior is decorated with a Chinese poem applied in brown slip and written in cursive script. Mouth rim slightly chipped. Probably Yixing ware.
