Thirty two chessmen in carved light and dark wood with a board and box. The dark side consists of: Seated Khan, Queen-lion, two camels, two horses, two yak drawn wagons and eight pawns in the form of small lions. The white side consists of: Seated Khan, Queen - snow leopard, two camels, two horses, two yak drawn carts and eight pawns in the form of snow leopards. The board is a square piece of hardboard painted in brown and white squares with gloss paint or varnish. The box is made from carved wood, standing on four legs, with scroll decoration on the legs, sides and lid. There are two lids, the larger is lined with purple figured silk as is the main compartment, and the smaller upper lid has a projecting wooden handle.
