A Mongolian tent consisting of five wall panels of wood and hide, each with a trellis of plain softwood strips, rounded at the top, bound by hide thongs knotted at each end, which pierce the strips. The trellis is usually extended until it is approx. four feet high, then the roof struts hooked over the top edge and the cinch ropes passed around to hold the tent together.
