Tight-fitting woman's bodice, 'banat'. It is made in three pieces using dark blue cotton fabric (most likely indigo dyed). The bodice is made of two unequal sized sections: the narrower upper part, called the 'dokot', has fine, coloured horizontal bands and wider white bands with diamond, hook and zig zag motifs (worked in continuous supplementary warp). This is hand sewn to the lower part, which has orange and white zig zag and diamond vertical stripes and triangular motifs (continuous and discontinuous supplementary weft). The bodice is fastened with two white buttons to a long, rectangular shouldercloth, called a 'longon banat'. In the middle of the shouldercloth is a hole for the head. (The loose ends hang over the shoulders or are tucked into spiral brass bracelets.)
