Woman's pleated skirt in black patterned silk embroidered with flowers and foliage in different shades of blue and white in silk thread and couched gold thread. Applied ribbon with woven floral designs. Main design in rectangular panel is of two large peaches surrounded by bat, peony, Buddha's hand citron, chrysanthemum and magnolia motifs, together symbolising longevity, happiness, wealth and beauty.
Panel border and hem have embroidered floral designs in a couched gold thread grid, including peony, orchid, plum blossom and chrysanthemum, symbolising wealth, beauty and longevity. Above the hem are embroidered floral designs of narcissus, plum blossom, rose, magnolia, chrysanthemum, as well as butterflies and peaches. These floral designs have been broken up to accommodate the pleats and folds while the wearer is moving. The waistband is of white cotton and secured with one tie, two knot-loop buttons. Partially lined in pale blue silk.
