'Talking drum'. Variable tension, portative hourglass-shaped drum. Wooden shell. The single membrane with U-shaped bracing. A leather apron with jingling metal plates attached, one of them a half peny British West AFrica coin dating from 1952. Labelled 'Ibrahim dan Toro/30/-6.3.61/F/9'.
