Rectangular sample of cream cotton textile decorated with light brown and blue hand-drawn double-sided batik. The textile is seemingly from a larger cloth as 3 sides are hemmed. The fourth side has a cream border. The decoration consists of a repeat foliate motif containing 2 bird motifs facing in opposite directions and a 'sawat' motif at the centre. They are arranged in vertical rows. In alterate rows there are either 2 or 3 complete mottled motifs on a blue ground.
