Circular silver betel box consisting of inner box with shallow bowl-shaped tray which fits into it, and outer cover which fits completely over inner box. The inner box and its lid are undecorated, but top and sides of outer cover are richly decorated with repousse work: flowers, foliage, birds, animals, figures of humans and deities.
Made from 285 'peacock rupees' - a common way of providing the metal for silver objects.
