The two characters on the top and in the right column indicate the place of manufacture, ‘潮陽chao yang’ district in Shan Tou (汕頭) city, which is located in Guang Dong province of China. The central column is the name of the manufacturer ‘顏和順 yan he shun’, whereas the column on the left ‘点銅 dian tong’ indicates that this container is made of copper-nickel alloy and tin.
