Ornament made of feathers around a plant material core, with blue, white and red beads wrapped around one end. A string of red and green beads hang from the ornament.
Feather hair ornament. Beads form Kisima threaded by sister on cow sinew. After circumcision he will give it to his mother or another boy. Elders wear them without bead pendants in them. It marks the stages of junior- elderhood. At circumcision also used: 2 years before circumcision the boy makes two ivory ear plugs (Cr. 38, Cr. 50). his mother lends him sting round blue and occasionally white beads (NGHIPI) which he threads through each ear down his back and hangs the feather ornament at the bottom. Elytia (wing cases) for beatles (NGARARAI) can replace bead pendant. He wears this while he sings Le Barta, the circumcision song. He removes beads and feathers when healed from circumcision (usually 3 days) and goes shooting brids which he wears in his hair until feast of killing of, or of feathers (LMUGET - LOONKUENY) then he replaces in ivory ear plugs. This ornament was manufactured in Lowa Loltorobo itself. Made by boy aged 13.
