ingolomband (pl. amagolombane), headband, made 1970. Worn by abafana, amadoda (senior men, i.e. Late 40's onwards), girls who consort with youths (iintombe yamakhwenkwe), girls who consort with young men (iintombe zahafana) and married women, both young (abafazana) and established (abafazi). Band-icici, tassels - imijuba, motifs-amabala, bottom rolled edge-ithumbu. Button-amakolo. Strung on cotton. Bead colours: white-mhlope, bark blue-unyembe, turquoise-ihobe orange-igcunube.
