Mortar carved from a single piece of dark brown wood. The bowl is hemispherical with a square rim. The bowl is supported on the body of a woman in place of her head. The figures head is held between her hands. The figure is standing on a flat round base. The figure has scarifications on her stomach consisting of three straight lines and two pairs of curves above them; the face also has marks on the cheeks. There is a crack down one side running from the base up to the figures torso.
