Sheepskin waistcoat. Bodice opening in front with floral designs (roses) arranged in rows. Silver coloured metal buttons form the stems of the simplified flowers. The edges of the fleece lined bodice edged with reddish brown strips of leather forming small triangles; the fleece lined bodice is also adorned with two rows of silk tassels sewn in front, at the top of the back and two apiece at each pocket. The tassels are bright red, blue or green. Polychrome designs in various hues of red (morello predominating), hues of violet, blue, green, yellow and white. The pockets, which are decorative rather than useful, also have small triangles sewn on. (Purchased silk for the tassels, skins processed by furriers, purchased dyed wool. Length at the back 480mm, length in the front 480mm, width of back 450mm.
