Man's smock. Cut out from straight pieces of linen material. Two flares, attached to a triangle called 'barbi', are inserted in the back and front. Sleeve is puckered at the shoulder and wrist, with a wide cuff. Geometrical and floral designs embroidered in white cover the visible parts. the chain-stitch with which the seams are sewn is typical of the district. Made from homespun hemp thread; purchased cotton thread for weavig and embroidery. Commonly worn in the 'Mocani' area of the Western Mountains.
