Pair of turtleshell nose ornaments in the form of a stylised human figure. These ornaments were worn as a pair by chiefs in Ontong Java, clipped to the sides of the nose. They have a cut in the side of the ring at the top for this purpose.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
