Easter egg, wool & pith decoration. Easter egg from the region of Kurpie (Puszcza Biala), probably boiled rather than blown. Decorated with bullrush pith and colored yarn. Both materials were attached to the shell of the egg with glue made of baking flour. Before attaching the pith to the shell it would have been been soaked in water in order to make it more elastic and softer. This type of Easter egg is still made in 2010, especially in the region of Pniewo and Lutobork. Label: Blue printed exhibition label.
