Maori feather or treasure box, engraved on the outer surface only. Two human figures are carved in relief facing with their heads towards the end. The surface is divided into four quarters by scroll work. These four quarters are engraved with sets of four parallel ridges, alternating with transverse lozenges. The orientation of the four quarters converges toward the central point on the underside.
