423.121.1 End-blown straight labrosone

Endblown straight trumpet.

This Naga trumpet was used by herders to scare elephants from crops. It was also used in funerary rites. There are stories of cane trumpets being used in the Nagaland in the times of colonial rule to imitate the bugle calls of the British Army.
