The lid of the picnic basket, made of wicker covered in black gum and lacquered. The lid is round, and the sides are painted with gold flowers. Around the edge of the top is a band of wickerwork painted in gold. The top has a faint figure painted on it in gold, and some other faint decorations, including symbols and flowers.

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
