Axe or chopper, dao. Metal blade of basic triangular shape: short, single edged curved blade, with rectangular wing on the back/top side: the blade slightly cracked below the wing. The haft recessed for a third of its length from the blade end, covered with a short reinforcing metal cylinder around haft-end where the blade is inserted, next to a gap revealing splits in wooden haft, and followed by a long band of narrow fibre strips bound and plaited on, with traces of dark resin, and a short band of plaited cane strips. One side of the haft end decorated with 15 rows of three long black hair tufts. Traces of resin on the half.
