One of a pair of basketry armlets. Made of fine twill strips of cane, lower half mostly uncoloured on both sides, top half with strips dyed red on one side, and woven with yellow orchid stem strips to form large zig-zag pattern (with four inverted `A’ shapes). A yellow zig-zag band around the top. Three single strip lines of red cane between the top and bottom halves, and two single strip lines at the bottom of the uncoloured half. The edges of the sides reinforced with a strip of bamboo tied on, leaving two short lengths of plain twisted cotton at the bottom. Slit up the back three-quarters of the length, the edges bound over a reinforcing cane strip. The edges have black cotton bobbles and ties. Eleven bobbles remain attached. A short length of red twisted cotton tied on halfway up one side.
