Cast bronze knife-shaped coin (dao bi), flat with a loop on the curved handle, inscribed on the blade in archaic Chinese script on the obverse and reverse, which indicates the coin was minted at Pingyang in the State of Zhao, nowadays Linfen city in northern Shanxi province, in the Warring States period (475-221 BC).
