Slide trumpet, red brass, yellow brass boss, slide, stays and ferrules. Elastic slide return mechanism. The boss and bell-pipe sleeve are probably from an earlier instrument by the same maker; this may also be the case with the slide and stays. The mouthpiece, with silver rim, appears to be contemporary with the boss and mouth-pipe sleeve. In wooden case. Four crooks: E natural, E flat, D and C. Two bent shanks and three tuning bits. Stamped: Köhler & Son 61 Victoria Street, Westminster, London (marked: Harper's Improved 196; and 1851; and 1862 with two exhibition medallions).
