Bassoon, medium red-brown stained wood, brass mounts. Nine brass keys, round, cupped (C sharp for right thumb), mounted in saddles. Crook possibly original. Overall length is 120.5 cm. Length of wing and butt is 92.2 cm. Brass mount at top of bass joint split at seam. Incipient split in mount (inscribed) at top of butt. Mounts loose. Stamped: D'Almaine & Co. 20 Soho Sqr. London (numbered 2447).
