Walking stick flute in D, light coloured wood (probably boxwood) covered with mottled light brown varnish, one brass mount. Six finger holes, one brass key: flat, square, mounted in turned block. The foot opening consists of two opposite holes in the brass ferrule. Movable wooden stopper inside top section, which bears a faded red ribbon and cerise tassels and screws onto body. Sounding length (embouchure to foot opening) is 53.5 cm. Sounds at a very low pitch. Stamped: Cahusac London. The letter W is inscribed on silver cap.
