Bassoon, probably fruitwood, brass mounts. Four brass keys, flat, round or spatulate, mounted on saddles, including swallow-tail F key. Keys of long joint on flat platform. Baluster bell. Crook probably original but has been cut, with crook-hole. Sling eyelet soldered in. Overall length is 124.7 cm. Length of wing and butt is 91.5 cm. Heavy woodworm damage on wing and butt. Tenon of wing damaged and part missing. F key lacks pad. Stamped on all four joints: Proser London 1777.
