Side-blown flageolet (duct flute) in D, boxwood, ivory mounts, cap and mouthpiece. Four silver keys, flat, ornately square, mounted in turned blocks and ring. The letter D is marked on the lip. Stamped:'BAINBRIDGE/INVENTOR/PATENT' on the head joint, 'NEW PATENT/BAINBRIDGE/INVENTOR/35/HOLBORN/HILL/ LONDON/PATENT' with a worn device resembling the Royal Arms on the intermediate joint between the headjoint and the joint with fingerholes for the left hand, and 'BAINBRIDGE' on the lower three joints. 610x 40mm.
