Flute in D, ivory, silver mounts. Six finger holes, eight keys, flat, ornately square, mounted in turned blocks and ring. Metal lined head with tuning slide. Movable cork stopper in hardwood and ivory bushing with silver mount and tuning screw. Sounding length (embouchure to foot) is 59.3 cm. Head cracked from end to end, also crack in socket. Two silver bands securing split in head. Brass beading coming away from tenon of socket. Silver mounts ornately embossed. Stamped: Wigley Strand London.
