Bassoon, bassonore, dark stained wood, brass mounts, very large flared bell. Eleven brass keys, round, cupped, mounted in saddles (including B flat, low C sharp and single thumb key on wing, open key for low E and thumb hole for low D). Crook presumed original. Overall length is 132.4 cm. Length of wing and butt is 93.9 cm. Many worm-holes in butt and a few in wing.
