Natural horn, hand horn, yellow brass throughout. Terminal crooking, internal tuning-slide. The G crook at present associated is probably not original. The mouthpiece is appropriate but apparently later. Considerably dented. Bell has been patched. Instrument originally had piston valves. Stamped: Raoux Paris. Marked: Facteur du Grandee Armee [sic]. Inscribed in punched letter on bell garland: W. Tacker, New York Fencibles. Illegible inscription on upper section of bell.
