Double flageolet, side-blown, boxwood, ivory mounts, caps and mouthpiece. Tubes of equal length. Nine silver plated keys (five on pipe I and four on II), flat, closed keys ornately square, open keys round, simple and hinged, mounted in turned blocks (one pivoted through wall of tube). One wind-cutter key, operated at mouthpiece. Tone holes in each foot. Sounding length (lip to foot) is 53.5 cm. A crack in one head has been pinned. Stamped: Bainbridge 35 Holborn Hill, London (marked Patent and New Patent, with royal coat of arms).
