Alto clarinet in E flat, ebonite, German silver mounts, crook and bell (upturned). Eighteen German silver keys of modern design (including covered holes and forked F/C on upper joint; duplicate E flat, B flat), mounted on pillars. Short throat register G sharp. Two speakers. Ebonite mouthpiece probably (damaged) original. Sounding length (total tube length) is approximately 99 cm. Called 'tenor clarinet' by Ridley, 1974.
