Electric tattoo instrument from the London Docks. It consists of a rectangular mahogany box with two brass screws in one side to which an electrical flex is attached, and a brass tattooing needle projects from another side. There are further small brass attachments on the side of the box opposite the needle. The sides of the box are attached with four small screws on one side and four pins on the other side.
