snuff bottle

Tall thin snuff bottle, made of hard wood, with the stem covered in thin brass strip wound round spirally. The body of the bottle is decorated with carved lines. Below this is another length of brass strip wound around the base. There are also two brass studs. A leather stopper, painted red lightly incised on its upper surface is attached to short leather thong lashed onto the stem by a piece of brass wire.
