Large heavy paddle of cassuarina wood with leaf shaped blade slightly wider towards the tip than the butt, with a distinctive projection from the tip that widens out into a rounded cylinder of ovate section. The shaft is straight throughout, and terminates in a cuboidal pommel with a slightly concave saddle at its terminus.
