Flared jerkin with protruding shoulders made from three sections of hide. The main peice forms the back, shoulders, and two sides of the front. Two smaller sections are sewn into the sides under the arms. These two side pieces each have a slit in the middle whcih extends about two-thirds of the way up, tacked together in four places. There are lengths of bamboo supporting the jacket, one over each shoulder, and more around the lower part of the garment. At the nape, the hide has been cut into two scallops. There is a 'spine' formed of a strip of leather, folded, and with cut-out 'vertebrae' along the back.
