Wrapping paper, yellow on one side, sprinkled with gold-coloured tinsel, uncoloured on reverse. Yelow side printed with scene and inscriptions. In top left corner the inscription 廣東 ‘guang dong’ refers to the province. Below is the name of the shop, ‘悅誠號 ‘yue cheng hao’. The column on the right reads 三多錦繡 ‘san duo jin xiu’, which translates as 三多 ‘san duo’, affluent; 錦繡 ‘jin xiu’, beautiful. The inscription 五色文章 ‘wu se wen zhang’ in the left column translates as 五色 ‘wu se’, splendid, and 文章 ‘wen zhang’, an article. The inscription at the bottom refers to the good quality and the diversity of the goods.
