Tourist art mask for hanging on a wall in the classic style of the Iatmul which has been purchased in Port Moresby, presumably from a boutique. The carving has the distinctive almond shaped eyes with circular unpainted zones above which are surrounded by scroll work inlaid with white and yellow mineral paint. The nose terminates in the classic elongated Iatmul beak which formerly connected with the protruding tongue, although this has now been broken.
