Bone awl, used in mat making. Tapers gradually, ending in a point. Incised designs on one face to about half way down. The design is divided into twocolumns vertically, with different patterns in each column. The very top part is shaped to end in a trefoil shape, and curves slightly upwards. At the extreme end is a small round aperture.
