Two models of meat crates that are oval in shape. The oval outer frames are made from bent slates of wood, with an overlapping join that has two wooden dowels securing them. On one side there is a lattice of thin sticks, on the other is a lattice of wood and brown fur, with a brown fur handle on one side. Inside the carriers are strips of bark.
Accompanying handwritten label reads:' Sp. Models of crates for carrying meat. Loc. Tromso. Norway. 21.8.1881. A.H. Cocks. Bought of a Lap.'
