Diana Maine
Diana is an educator with substantial experience in headship, educational consultancy and governance including considerable safeguarding experience. She lives locally and is a Horniman volunteer.
Diana is a local resident with extensive experience in education. Her professional career includes science teaching, 16-19 Coordinator for the Borough of Greenwich, Head of a London prep school, founding Principal of a free school in Mortlake and educational consultancy. With a BEd in Biology, MA in Educational Psychology and NPQH, she was also a freelance author and consultant for Dorling Kindersley.
Diana has over a decade’s experience in strategic governance in both charitable and maintained sectors. She was a Trustee at ArtsEd, a leading HE performing arts conservatoire and was on the governing board of two primary schools in Kensington & Chelsea, where she was Chair of Governors of one.
A Cantonese speaker born in Hong Kong, Diana has a passion for the arts, natural history and gardening and a commitment to lifelong learning. She is a qualified garden designer and volunteer gardener at her local health centre. Her role as an Outdoor Learning Volunteer at the Horniman brings together many of her interests and skills.
